I'm Julie Thomason (she/her), Founder/CEO of BC Therapy Co., a local, BC-based, group practice specializing in counselling, sex therapy and clinical supervision. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Approved Clinical Supervisor with 9 years of experience, I create safe, inclusive spaces where people across British Columbia can heal, grow, connect, and thrive. We offer compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally aware, counselling and supervision in Chilliwack, B.C., and online all across British Columbia.

I bring a grounded presence that blends integrative, evidence‑based approaches and advanced training in many areas including sex therapy with genuine care and curiosity.

  • Yes. Julie Thomason is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC-ACS) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She holds advanced training and specialization in sex therapy, women’s health and trauma-informed care, ensuring evidence-based support for her clients.

  • I provide therapy in English. If you require services in another language, I can provide referrals to colleagues who are fluent in French, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Punjabi.

Therapy Logistics, Cost, & Getting Started

  • Yes, I am currently accepting a limited number of new clients, and my team also has openings. To secure your spot, we invite you to book a free 15-minute meet and greet consultation to get started and see if we are a good fit.

  • Counselling session fees are $155 for a 60-minute session. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC-ACS), Julie provides detailed receipts with her license number that are accepted by most extended health benefit plans in British Columbia.

  • Yes. Julie Thomason offers secure online video and phone sessions for women and gender-diverse people across British Columbia. She meets you where you are, providing accessible therapy in the comfort and privacy of your own space, so you can connect with support from anywhere in the province of BC.

  • My session fee is $155 per 60-minute session, and I currently do not offer a sliding scale. However, I understand that cost can be a barrier. I am happy to provide a list of community agencies, low-cost training clinics, and other resources in British Columbia that may offer reduced rates based on income.

  • To begin therapy please send a message through our contact page to book a free 15-minute consultation. This brief meet-and-greet consultation is a safe space for us to discuss your needs, answer any questions you might have, assess the fit, and schedule a session at a time that works for both of us.

  • Yes. Julie Thomason specializes in sex therapy and women's sexual health, with advanced training in perimenopause, menopause, and diverse relationship structures. She is currently a PhD candidate in sex therapy. She is a trauma-informed and kink-aware therapist with a deep focus on supporting clients in recovering from sexual trauma. While she continues to expand her specialized training in sexual trauma recovery, she provides evidence-based, sex-positive care for individuals across British Columbia.   • Yes. Julie is an Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS) with BCACC. She provides individual and group supervision for interns and Registered Clinical Counsellors in a safe, kind, and respectful environment. Her approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, sex-positive, and integrative, drawing on systemic and strength-based frameworks to support your professional development. Supervision is available online across British Columbia.

  • Julie provides scheduled therapy only, and does not emergency crisis services. If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 or 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Please book a session so we can discuss safety planning during your next scheduled appointment.
