ADHD Therapy for Women

The explanation you've been waiting decades for.

Online across British Columbia

You keep falling short, and disappointment builds, until it starts feeling like who you are.

Maybe it's the relationships that felt toxic, or the ones you lost interest in before they had a chance to grow. Maybe it's the projects and homework you never quite finished on time, or the goals you set out to reach but procrastinated and lost your focus along the way. Maybe you built an entire personality around masking how hard this actually is, and you're exhausted from holding it all together.

You keep falling short, no matter how hard you try. It's easy to feel like there's something wrong with you, that you're just not good enough. But it was never about effort, and nothing is wrong with you. I'd be glad to help you understand what's actually going on, and build a life that works with your brain instead of against it.

Julie Thomason RCC-ACS Therapy and Supervision BC

Julie Thomason, RCC-ACS

Hi, I'm Julie. I love working with ADHD because I get to see that deep, resonant sigh of relief, the moment everything finally clicks. As someone who's late-diagnosed with ADHD myself, I bring that lived experience alongside my clinical training. I'd be honoured to support you as you find your way through it.

How We Begin

You don't need to have it all figured out before you reach out. Getting started can be as simple as a conversation.

My Approach to ADHD Therapy

My process for working with ADHD is informed by cognitive behavioural therapy, along with a wider, whole-person integrative lens. We'll talk through the whole process, from awareness and education to screening and assessment, to medication and symptom management. From there, we start working through your life with this new awareness, learning how to use and apply your strengths, and redesigning your life with a fully optimized brain. It's a step-by-step process, shaped around your individual needs, to help you create the life that you actually want to live.
